Glass window appliques

Postby biblemanryan » December 13th, 2008, 6:32 pm

We have a window in our home that I would like to be able to let the light shine through, yet not be able to see clearly through from the outside. I was trying to find some stained glass window appliques, or some other kind of applique that would allow the light through while masking, if you will, what's inside. I have only been able to find a site or two that have anything close to what I am looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

You might also look into acid etching the glass for a diffused look.
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

glass window treatments

Yes PG that is along the lines that I am looking for. The only thing about the acid etching is that we may eventually go back to curtains, which is what we have now covering the window. I would assume the acid etching would be more of a permanent deal. Thanks

Lowes sells window appliques that are applied with water and then smoothed out.

Lowe's and Home Depot both sell what you are looking for in a frosted style that would imitate permanent etching.
