I got a foot spa from one of the customers on my route, a home made sweet potato pie from another customer, lots of clothes, toiletries, UK jersey, UK tshirts and a TomTom. I feel blessed. All I wanted was for a nice relaxing day to thank Jesus.

TW got me the George Forman Grill that you can take apart and wash in the dishwasher. I had one of the older ones and I loved everything about it except that I couldn't get it as clean as I would like. I got some gift certificates but the best gift is the time with my brother.

For my pagan celebration gifts I got some new noise-cancelling headphones for those long flights, the new Apple earbuds for my iPhone and some gift cards. My wife ordered me another travel/iPhone goodie, the Juice Pack, but it didn't arrive possibly as a result of weather-related shipping delays.

I got work done writing a NAnt process for building InfoPath 2007 XSN templates. I got to create custom NAnt tasks for pushing and poping XML node attributes on the XSN manifest file.

I also got to talk with family members over free VOIP for about an hour as they sat in my parents' computer room together listening to me on speaker phone. It was like being there with them. I love my family and consider the opportunity to "be" with them today a great gift.

On Christmas Eve I got to go to a co-worker's dinner party, where I met about fifteen new people and had awesome Italian cuisine and watched a Russian production of the Nutcracker Suite.

I had a wonderful Christmas. Merry Christmas to all of you.

I received a new flat top electric range to match my refrigerator.

I spent the day with all my family except for two grandchildren (brother and sister) one in PA the other in TX.
We had lots of fun sharing food and talk around the table.
Which afterwards I opened my B'day gifts..along with cake and Ice cream. Taking pictures.
I must be losing years, I only had 4 candles on my cake. Actually they didn't want the house to burn down.

I have a wonderful loving family. We enjoy each others company.
But most of all I thank God we are all healthy..He has been good to me this year.

I got to put on my "Santa" suit and give out the gifts to my grandchildren. Watching thier little eyes get big when they saw me was so much fun...then watching them open gifts and saying "thank you Santa..this is just what I asked for".......

The too 2 year olds just giggled at me and pointed and said "Sandy Close".....they were not too fond of having their pic made with me though....

We had a wonderful Christmas eve.....then back for a late Chirstmas dinner with turkey, ham, corn-bread dressing (my wife's is the best in the world) giblet gravey, .........and about 100 other things......

Christmas ended with me drying dishes for my wife.....no problem...

She got a new diamond tennis brasclet...............I got "socks"....

Oh yeah, I forgot......my wife got two tickets to the Celine Dion concert in Jan.( her birthday)....I may get to go with her. Her son got the tickets for her............I couldn't afford them. This has been a good year for the "song".

I got a new toy.

Also My MOM n Law got me a complete set of all 50 qtrs in a nice collectors album.. way kewl. (she not only gave me one but all of my kids and a couple of the grandkids.) she had started working on these a few years ago..

also my daughter and son have agreed pay to install a trailor hitch on my car. (funny gift i guess) but about a year ago I got a mobility chair. It is a shall I say a Big Mans Chair. bulky. but I had no way to haull it anywhere without borrowing or begging someone to carry it and bring it back for me. I even had a trailor but no Hitch.

I am so looking forward to that.

My wife also made Oreo Balls (y'all, your mouth will quiver with excitement .... crushed oreos mixed with Philly cream cheese and dipped in chocolate).

Got a great Bama football book and some new Bama shirts.

My daughter's smile at her Christmas morning gifts. Then, I pumped gas from noon to 6 on Christmas Day.

Got to help my brother some this weekend on work at his house after he helped me like TONS last winter on mine. Made me feel good to contribute just a little bit.

Let's see. Fried pork chops and gravy last night for supper. Watching Auburn's new coach be a disaster already. That's sweet.

I got to go into debt this Christmas! Well, not too much but enough.

My wife and I don't really exchange gifts between us. We usually spend too much on the kids for that. But I can list a couple of there things because I will most definately be using them.....ALOT. An iTouch, Nikon D40 Camera, Guitar Hero world tour and lots of toys for our 3 year old zack....those are fun!!! got him a golf club set because he LOVES golf, seriously he loves it. has a great swing and follow through.

Oh, my wife got all four books in the Twilight series. Vampire stuff..... I DIDNT get the wireless xbox controller I wanted maybe for my birthday.

The person who got the whole collection of state quarters received quite a thoughtful gift. Those quarters have taken 10 YEARS to mint - with 5 per year. We have collected them for all of our grandkids and it has been quite a chore. In our city our banks never knew in advance when they would get them. We would try to mentally calculate about how long it had been since we had gotten the last one and we would call the banks or our credit union each week to see if they had gotten them. They only received a limited number and we often had to play "beat the clock" to get there before they were gone. This past year was easier because a man at our church works at a bank and we would give him $10.00 in advance and he would buy a roll for us when the tellars got them in. He is fairly new to our congregation so we really needed him several years ago. Ha

They are now going to mint quarters for DC, Puerto Rico and some other countries but I am out of patience now and besides our maps only have space for the 50 actual states. Stick a fork in me because I am done!!!!!
