This will either be a lot of fun, or a huge disaster -- you'll be the judge.

Starting immediately, and running for an indeterminate period -(a few weeks, maybe? Longer? A few hours if it is a disaster?) -- all of the various public forums have been locked down, leaving only the General Discussion forum and Board of Wisdom forum available. Yeah. Seriously.

It may be a ton of fun and spark a flurry of posts, or it may bomb, but give it a shot.

PG, people will complain at any change (see recent Facebook Meltdown as an example)

I actually like it better this way. As long as the title is clear as to what the thread is about, it should not be a problem.

have no real preference. it is convenient to use cookies and see all the non-viewed posts on one page (RSS feeds do this as well). but it's also convenient to go to a particular sub forum and see that, depending on my mood for posting. so, I like whatever the Admin's and Moderators allow us. J2 is a community, and to me, it seems to come to personal preference either way.

gotta pick and choose posts, whether in a sub forum on in one forum.

Oh mercy, this is just terrible (in my opinion)!! Can we bring our "just for fun" posts here? We were taken out of here once before. :roll:

I am sad about loosing all those delicious recipes.

sure the point is to post as normal, I would assume, and as I brought one of the threads (word association) - post em up in the one forum as if they were separate.

a challenge with the single forum, though is that posts go to a second page rather quickly - so may have to look for them.

One massive request, and I'll give $10 if this can be done to whomever accomplishes the feat.

PLEASE find a way to put the resurrected (gee thanks Rambo, we knew we could always count on you pal) word association, three word story and hijack this thread posts onto the BOTTOM of the page at all times?

The forum is perfect if it weren't for those scourges on an otherwise good board.

They are "scourges" in your opinion, and perhaps the opinion of a few others. However, may I point out that they have generated more post, and views than anything that you have ever authored. That would indicate a fairly high level of interest, at least to my way thinking.
