Sunrise Service

How many on here attend a church that does a Sunrise Rise Service? And what are your thoughts about having/not having one?

My church does not have one (thank God!)...But they are ingrained in my head from childhood...Who can forget getting up at 5:00 AM going to church followed by breakfast and then back to church again.

i would go if we had one. course I would go if it were the 3am service or the 11pm service. I support our local COGOP community.

We have sunrise services every year. This year we are doing something a little different. We are having the service at 7:00 am, calling is SON-Rise service and we are having it at a local city park with another church.

I'm excited about it and looking for great things to happen.

We have one every Sunday. Our first service begins at 8:30. For me and my staff that is a reality every week...I would not dare ask them to reach that far....

Never liked them.....don't have them.....see no real need for them ....sinners sure don't come to them.....more for fellowship than anything else.......

Where I presently pastor we had one the first year I was here, and it didn't work. However, at the church I formerly pastored we done a service with the church next door, and it was wonderful. Something both churches looked forward to each year. I remember one year, returning from Romania, left on Saturday Morning bright and early, traveled all day, and returned home late Saturday Night, with Jetlag, to only take a nap and get up and preach the sunrise service and then our regular Easter Service. It was a tremendous Sunday!

Knowing Jesus as I do, I don't think he makes it to those sunrise services either......

I am certain he is saying..."once was enough for me.....too many bad memories"
