TN State Convention

I hated to miss it, had to work. I heard it was good. Does anyone know of any pastoral changes and who got Durkee Rd?

There were not a lot of changes made as far as announced. Several churches still "in transition". Still working to find the correct person.

The current interim pastor at Durkee is going to continue serving as interim from what I understood till a pastor is found.

Hate you missed it. There were several friends from Jude 2 there. Wonderful convention. Very solid preaching (Gerald, you would have loved some of the boldness against prosperity doctrine), wonderful worship from Peerless' worship team, and an overall wonderful attitude.

One of the most incredible moments was Cedar Ridge's own Glynis Varlack Algood singing an old hymn with the Peerless worship team. What an incredible moment. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I love me some Varlack singing.

I actually half-planned to attend but did not realize the date it was held.

It's been years since I've attended a Tn State Convention. I still consider TN my home despite being Ky based.

Do you know if any of the sermons were recorded?

FQ, didn't know the kids name, but the worship team and band really enjoyed working with him. He did a really good job.

Gerald, they did video and audio recordings of all of the services.

Friday night was a guest speaker from COGIC.
Saturday morning was Bro. McKinley's address.
Saturday afternoon was Josh Lynn's (State youth director) sermon.
Saturday night was Cathy Payne's sermon.

I don't know if they sold recordings of the brief challenge from Bro. McKinley on Sunday morning or not. It was a challenge towards the duties and obligations of a pastor and that of a congregation. He then challenged everyone to rethink the appointment system and how we do things. Excellent. It would be worth checking out.
