I have a cable box on the TV in the living room but not on the 2 tv's in the bedrooms. Is it legal and possible to buy another cable box for one of the TV's in the bedroom or does that have to be bought thru the cable company? Thanks.

Legally it must be bought through the cable company...But I'm sure you can find a neighborhood in Norfolk where you can buy one much cheaper!

The law is supposed to be that you can purchase one from retailers such as Best Buy, etc. BUT everything is not in place as of yet at least not in my part of the country. Presently you are still bound to RENT one from your cable company.
In the future, hopefully near, you will be able to purchase your own and then the cable company will install a card or chip that will program their line up.
