Do you have any contacts on the island where there Kona Nazarene Church is located? The address is

74-5100 Palani Road, Kailua Kona, HI 96740

We are sending a youth mission team there in July, 2010 (HI first, then Africa in 2011).

We only have enough vehicles for 33 adults and teens. We have over 50 already who have paid their deposit and committed to come - and we only announced it last weekend.

We need to line up additional vehicles (with drivers if they are over 10 passenger, obviously). We are doing this on a shoe string (everyone raising their own support) so FREE is best.

The local church is housing us in homes and feeding us to reduce costs. This is a 10 day +/- trip.

Thanks for your help or leads that I can pursue.

Make this a sticky...

Sorry - this got lost in the shuffle! Apologies.

We (COGOP) do not a church in Kailua-Kona. What we have on the Big Island is not a functioning church in the organized sense of that word, but we have a dedicated lady in Hilo (opposite side of a large island) who feed s the homeless and hungry in a park each week... sometimes as many as 1,000 have shown up, and it is close to fishes-and-loaves prayer time!

I have some Naz friends here, and I know some independent churches in that area.

Thanks for the feedback.

We'll keep praying and working on other leads.

If you think of anything, give me a holler.
