We are finally pulling out of the recession...

I just found out this week that within a 75 mile radius of my home several established businesses are calling it quits, either by choice or other. The list includes three Sonic Drive-Ins, Dairy Queen, a local family steakhouse (20 plus years), hometown hardware (50 plus years), and a western outfitters store. These are just the ones that I know about.

It's a slight shock to pull up to a business that you've frequented for years expecting the usual routine only to find the signs missing. Sad.

We are finally pulling out of the recession or so say the talking heads...

It's what's called a jobless recovery. Larger businesses are having to basically shrink to survive.

The result? Hometown factories are shutting down and the domino effect is that all the smaller support businesses around it fold also. That's why we have over 10% unemployment and growing..

To me this could be a ploy to destroy personal wealth, destroy small businesses or the backbone of America ( ie: traditional conservative voting block). When you destroy that base... and cause panic/unrest.. you position these once strong individuals closer to accept radical socialism proposals from Washington.

The talking heads still refuse to admit that it's a depression, even though the unemployment rate is equal to that of "the Great Depression," major financial institutions are failing, and what little money there is has no real worth. But just like "the Great Depression" the country elected a socialist government. You would think we should have learned a lesson from the first time.
