Ge 3:14
¶ And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
Ge 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Ge 3:16
¶ Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.Ge 3:17
¶ And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
Ge 3:18
Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Ge 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
Because Jesus died for all man the curse that some keep refurring to is not the curse of the Law, but that was put on man before the Law was given.
Death didn't come from the Law, but from the sin of Adam when he sinned against God. I have a problem when every thing is blamed on the Law of Moses. It was given to the Jews, but has many things in it that is relevant such as the Ten Commanments.
Where the Jews under Moses where given the Law, the Gentiles had the Law of God and yes there is scriptures to back this up.
The scriptures also says that "1Pe 4:17
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
1Pe 4:18
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Remember that Jesus talking to Peter and the rest of the Apostles (Church).
1Co 5:9
¶ I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
1Co 5:10
Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
1Co 5:11
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1Co 5:12
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
1Co 5:13
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
As someone in another thread has already brought these verses to light and there are others verses that also back this passage up, that the church has a responsibility to judge and remove that person from the Church (there is a procedure from the scriptures for this). The church is not sending anyone to hell, they go there of their on free will.
Heb 10:26
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
The degree of sin is not the problem, but rather the fact that one has or is sinning. It's is also not how many times that one sins, but rather the fact that one does sins. Repentance is what brings one to Christ in the first place and it may well bring one back to God.
God knows us all for what we are and we can pat ourself on the back and tell ourself what a good fellow we are till we are blue in the face, but if we aren't right then God and so does most every one else.
Mathew 12:33-35 pretty much lays it out.
Mt 12:33
Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
Mt 12:34
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Mt 12:35
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
