Has any "official" announcement been made about Alex Jackson being GO of The Church of God, James Nabors? Just curious!

I think Alan Jackson would be a great GO. He can sing country and he's popular with the ladies.

Not as popular as Trace Adkins, but he has long hair so he's probably out.

I like Alan Jackson but he doesn't give a very good concert...Just stands there and plays the guitar..I'm sure they will need someone who is more animated on stage. 8)

The gossip we hear is that A J senior is the G.O. Nabors is with Tiger Woods somewhere. Amy is allegedly still with her husband who is singing the old Tammy Wynette song Stand By Your Man/Woman. It's all hush hush and for good reason as the solidity of this entire organization depends on if this can be fixed. If Nabors is really gone for good, that is bad news for his church. After all, it was founded by him and all his members followed him. This is what happens when people follow a man.......The question is now, who is next?????????????

Hey brother he is the G.O. or interim G.O.

NOW TO RASCAL: all i can tell you is if someone said the things about my wife that I have read online about this situation that MAY or MAY NOT be true... All I can say Is pray that I get grace and stay saved! Let them be and wounds heal.... I dont know what happened and do NOT want to know. I am interested in who is in positions but the rest just deserves prayer that a family is not destroyed.

WE ARE CHRISTIANS WHY DOES TEARING DOWN PEOPLE AND TALKING ABOUT A FAMILY THAT HAS CHILDREN WHO COULD BE FACING SOME TROUBLES BECOME SO FASCINATING????? I SERIOUSLY CAN SAY i WOULD NEED GRACE TO NO LOSE MY MIND , TEMPER AND HURT SOMEONE IF MY WIFE WAS TALKED ABOUT IN THE MANNER THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT. ESPECIALLY IF IT IS NOT TRUE.

Please read my post again and notice the word alleged. That means not proven. I don't know if this woman is with her husband or not. Apparently (One Love) you are sensitive to this situation. It is bad and I pray that these families can be saved. It will take an act of God to preserve them.

Whenever unfaithfullness occurs, it hurts so many more than just the two involved. Children, employees, and many more. It has a ripple effect and it is hard to stop. This is not new to any of us and no one is immune. It seems to be worse when people are leaders in the church. Perhaps we hold them to a higher standard. Maybe that is something we need to realize is that this can happen to anyone...........

I received this by PM and was told I could post it on J2, but not disclose who sent it.

But the facts are in. James C. Nabors was found to be in sin of bad conduct. He is not living with his wife. He stayed with one church in Tennessee, and is their General Overseer which includes K. Scott Hatton as pastor.

98% of the membership of the Church has stayed with Bishop Alex Jackson. He was selected by the Presbytery in a general meeting. So far he is doing a great Job. and it is official he is The Interim General Overseer of The Church of God.

What happened with James Nabors was sad but we must clean out sin in any position, like any other religious organization would do.

www.tcogonline.org is being updated.

To answer your question Bishop Alexander Jackson Sr. is the Interim General Overseer. James Nabors did not want to accept the facts that after numerous people testified of his conduct, the Presbytery removed him and revoked his license. We pray that one day he may make restitution with God first and then with others.

Currently we are moving into our new International Building in Cleveland, TN and Sister Nabors and her family are still working at Headquarters, everyone is there except James Nabors.

I have edited the PM to conceal the sender.

I understand and I am not mad at ya Brother  I do not even know scott or Amy. My point is it bothers me for them everything that was said online. I am nt sure what is true or what is not true. My point is that if it is not true (which it looks like they stayed with Nabors) that would be a huge amount of pressure on their marriage to see it online over and over. Their daughter could have read all of these post that were made. That bothers me...
Here it is truthfully: I just thought what if someone accused my wife of that and it was not true and I read all the same post online about my wife. How much pressure would that cause? I would be furious if anyone spoke about my wife (not that you did this time) as some have since this started.

I am not with nabors nor A.J. but I like Brother Jackson and think he is a great guy. I have no dog in the fight. I feel sorry for the family ESPECIALLY if it is not true. Everyone in all the churches that know them have read it, think it. Their families and her husband has to read it. THat is all.

Sorry if I seemed upset, I hope it did not happen but if it did I pray they work through it.
