yes, but they now call it climate change or somthing less direct and more generic so that the numbers can match up to whatever they want to portray. I just don't get, given the recnet fiasco, how people of normal inteligence can still drink that koolaid.

I don't believe in the global warming as described by Al Gore and the rest of the liberal left loony bins, but what do you say to there claims that despite the current winter weather that is blanketing the US,
globally they say is still one of the hottest last few years in history?
I don't buy it, but then again I havent seen the numbers.
Here is a pretty nice site with some good info to refute global warming.

From everything I have seen (mostly some news articles), from 2000-2008 the earth warmed dramatically, the past two years the earth has cooled.
I could accept the Earth was warming, but I do not think there is nothing that man can do to accelerate or slow it down. I think the sun's activity was very high (more sunspots than normal) from 2000-2008, but lately the sun is not as active. So, we have cooling now.
I think most of it is cyclical, I think it is a little arrogant to think we as man can control and change the climate.
Just wonder, has anyone read Michael Crichton's State of Fear? I think it is very critical of how most scientists fund their research. Mostly creating fear to get money for their research. Seems like this may have been happening in the whole climategate scandal. I think there is a a whole section of notes referring to how research is funded.

I don't have time to worry about global warming. I'm more concerned about the ozone layer disappearing. Meathead told us this was happening in the seventies, remember? Said something like, "In twenty years...."

Yes we can agree Mac. Can we agree that Al Gore played on some people's fears and essentially committed armed robbery by holding the economic gun to our heads and demanding money for his scheme. Where is he now? He should be in prison or on the next ride to Mars to be left there.
