Tomorrow I have to be at Vanderbilt at 8:30am for an open biopsy on my back. They will start with a CT scan to mark the spot then they will take me to the OR to prep me for surgery. Please whisper a prayer for me and my family.

Thanks everyone for your prayers and concerns.
All went well but it went long. Started out in radiology with three doctors who collaborated to install a small wire with a hook on the end into the spot. They also injected some type of blue liquid that would highlight the area. This was all done so the surgeons need not guess where the spot was.
Well with that wire in place they had to tape it down and they covered it up with a specimen cup thus leaving me on my belly with a cup atop my back. The licensed dope dealer, anesthesiologists, was not happy. She said she needed to get a breathing tube down my throat and that it was virtually impossible while I was on my belly. She said she would have to do it with me awake but I asked her not to. She agreed to try not to and she was able to please me.
The surgery was late getting started due to this and it last 2 hours. They sent off some soft tissue and some bone fragments they scraped for testing. The oncologists and the spine surgeon seem to be happy that there is no sign of cancer, a tumor, or anything bad. They are not sure what it was but no alarm for now. I may get the results back in a week or it could be a month they said.
I slept the whole way home, went to bed for an hour, got up to use the restroom, went back to bed for an hour and was finally awake from the happy juice. I was prescribed Percocet and told to only take it on top of food. Well it was 11pm and I had no appetite but I got two bites of a sandwich down and took my meds. Well it was a bit too late as the meds from the hospital had wore off and the ones I took at home hadn't taken effect thus I was left in terrible pain like I've not had before. That was a bad 2 hours. Wen called the pharmacy and they said by all means take Advil, Flexeril, and anything else I wanted except Tylenol due to the Percocet. So I did and all has been well since.
I've slept alot and laid around alot but I am back to work this morning. Don't worry I'll just be sitting at my desk today easing back into it and I may catch a few zzzzzzzzzz'z here. I am taking my oldest daughter to the Black Eyed Peas concert tonight for her birthday and valentines.
Again thank you al for your prayers.

I went to the doc on Monday to have him inspect my incision. Wendy was a bit concerned with whether it was healing well or not. The doc looked, said it was fine, gave me some instruction on how to continue it on that path, and gave me a clean bill of health.
He said some of the test results were not back yet but preliminary results say I am healthy. He said I may or may not experience pain but my testimony today is that I am 90% pain free and that says alot since I have been in pain since the first of November.
Thank you for your prayers!
