So last Thursday night Wendy went to court in Mt. Juliet over a speeding ticket. She plead not guilty as she was not speeding. The judge rushed the case through and told her the burden of proof was on her. Well I had plenty to say but I was out in the van with the kiddos. She is innocent until the prosecuting attorney proves her guilty. Well guess what, the prosecuting attorney wasn't even present and the judge even pointed this out but said he was holding court nonetheless.

Well I contacted the mayor over this. The fine jumped to $365 after he found her guilty. The mayor did not get back with me till today after I sent her a second email. She said she is working with the board of commissioners on this as to how and handle it. She says she's conservative and against big government, she was a speaker at a Tea Party rally last April, but here her police dept. and court have a bad reputation as of late. Anyhow I spoke with a local attorney today and he said they can't have court if the prosecuting attorney is not present and therefore the city has a prob on their hands. He is having one of his partners contact us.

Sounds like Ashtabula County in Ohio. I would bet that most the people in charge of the town are related or grew up together and have an "us" and "them" mentality.

The town is actually much bigger than that and the people aren't even from the town the way I am gathering it. Supposedly the city attorney is also a local councilman here in Nashville. The judge is a former police officer from Nashville from what I am told as well.
This is actually one of the fastest growing town's in the state of TN.

Well tonight I'm taking my 15 yr old daughter to the Black Eyed Peas concert here at the Nashville Arena or the Sommet Center.

Any suggestions for me?

I don't know what happened as that Black Eyed Peas announcement was supposed to be a new thread but oh well.

The concert was great. The opening acts, LMFAO and Ludacris were both without talent. When you have to get applause and crowd appreciation through vulgarity, obscenity, being arrogant, and obnoxious then you don't have talent. Anyone can cuss into a microphone and talk about sex so if that's your "talent" then just beware that you aren't good.

Now the Peas came out and rocked the place. Sure the said a few cuss words but their act doesn't rely upon it. I was very impressed with the Peas and will be looking to attend a show of theirs in the future.

We had great seats too. Mid-level straight in front of the stage. If they come to your town by all means by some tickets but eat dinner and t-shirt shop during LMFAO's opening session and probably Ludacris' also. To his credit he wasn't as bad but his acting on law & Order was better than his performance on stage if that tells you anything.
