The roof DID NOT cave in!

I got to visit with my old friend, David Nichols, here in Louisville yesterday at his church. I have been away from COGOP and my roots for six years now.
As David and I were visiting, a morning prayer meeting was happening in the sanctuary. We were invited in and were able to participate... I was deeply moved and touched...
I miss my roots. I don't miss the baggage but I sure do miss my roots.
David invited me and my family to visit with them this Sunday morning. I sure hope that roof continues to hold.

Do as we have done

Do as many of us on J2 have done... embrace the heritage and dump the baggage.

Hog,
scooter and I got married at Larkwood CoGoP in 1987. Tell David that Scott and Shellie Creasy said hello. scooter's brother and mom still attend there. Tell them hello too.

Kewl. I will tell him.
If I'm not mistaken, I think my wife, Tammy (formerly Prosch) went to school with Scooter. Is that right?

PG,
I have and always will embrace my heritage (but thanks for the reminder

)...
As for the baggage, while I'm not crazy about it, it's not really what caused us to leave. It was burnout, family junk, and better opportunities elsewhere.
I've always appreciated you balance and ability to hold on to the heritage while embracing the awesome future. Great example for us - Thanks!
Our heritage...

We have a great heritage of holiness, faithfulness, strong biblical teaching, and loving CHRIST.
That is not a bad heritage to have.
I've told more than one person that if I ever live in an area where there is a strong Church of God of Prophecy congregaton again, I'll certainly be attending.
Everyone has baggage....it depends on the size of the suitcase, and what is in it.
