Perry Stone is scheduled to speak at a conference at Abba's House in Chattanooga this week. I am not sure about him. What is the opinion of this board?

I have a few folks in my church who enjoy his teaching. It is more teaching to me than preaching. And, from a few comments I have read about him in the past, most of his content comes from the Dake Bible. Which you can pick up for around $69 at christianbook.com

Highly Recommend Him. He is a blessing and Very insightful. Great Tabernacle teaching. And by the way, nothing wrong with a teaching preacher, as a matter of fact the word said that a pastor ( bishop) should be apt to teach.

Highly recommend him as well...He is CoG and his teaching as far as I can tell is right on. We've used one of his DVD series for a Wednesday night Bible study.

yup, I attend abba's house and he will speaking on thursday night. I'll let ya know how I feel about him after I hear him speak.

If I closed my eyes .... real, real tight .... to his involvement with TBN, INSP, etc., the guy strikes me on a purely personal level as a nice person. He'd be very, very interesting to sit down and have a cup of coffee with him, I'd bet, but as far as following his teaching ..... not for me, sorry. [shrug]

IMO, he hangs out in left field way too much. He always has a secret Jewish Rabbi that lives in the desert like John the Baptist that feeds him info that would otherwise be unknown to anyone else on Earth... God also gives him to many extra-biblical revelations for my taste.. So for me, he's too wacky.

was one of my buds during our years at LEE...but PERRY has waaay too many "wacky" ideas for me...

NOPE....not gonna listen to his preaching/teaching/revelations, etc.

Rob, I think Charles Manson grew up in WV, so I'm not sure we can include everyone in our family. :lol:

Of course, I did read where his one sole happy moment in life came when his WV aunt hugged him. Even the hardest of sinners are melted by that Mountaineer touch.

Saw Perry one time. Listened to about 2 hours worth of his double secret "I can't tell you about it" spy stuff. His head jerk got annoying after awhile. I did think one of his books was interesting.

Heard him a few times, once in person, several on TV...always seemed to have a couple of ideas coming out of left field.

He is for real, not a fake or money seeker. I don't agree with everything he teaches but one thing is for sure, Perry Stone is a man of God and if you go you will be blessed.
