JOY IN THE MORNING

Written by Aaron Wilburn...

"Tears often fall from my face in sorrow
As I walk on through the long, lonely night.
And often I cry, though it seems no one hears me
and then through the shadows, I can see
the dawning of light.

Though shadows may fall
And my cross is heavy
and sometimes it seems
That I'll never see another day dawning.
But I remember HIS word,
Though the night find me weeping.
He promised me, and surely there'll be
Joy in the morning."

"Now soon this life and all of it's trials
Will be left behind, there's a new day a dawning
And the shadows of sin will vanish forever,
And forever I'll find, where the sun always shines
Joy in the morning.

Aaron is a cool guy or at least was. I kinda grew up around him. A close family friend wrote southern gospel music and the Wilburn's were the first group to pick up some of his work. We'd follow them around to "singings" and they would often sing at our church for special events. I met Tony Gore that way as he was their piano player for a bit.
