Vacating the Parsonage

Postby scooter » May 28th, 2010, 8:19 am

Well, we are very close to moving out the parsonage. We have lived here 17 years so it is going to be quite a chore.

We are in the final stages of buying our own home. All that is left is hearing back from the appraiser and getting all the T's crossed and the I's dotted.

We are going to turn the parsonage into a Youth/Childrens facility. That may also help us add a few seats to the church and give us a few more parking spots.

Say a little prayer that it all goes according to God's plan. 8)
What we need here is a good revival! lol

Sound fantastic. Congrats.
Nothing like private home ownership.

Very happy for you and your family. You are making a very wise choice.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

Congratulations to you and Shellie - sounds like it's long overdue! Reminds me of the saying, "the only difference between here and there....is you have to cross the t" I'm sure you'll be crossing lots of them during closing!

The best thing a pastor can do! Glad we did it many years ago.

Keep telling me it is the best thing....LOL

I feel like a circus poodle jumping through hoops. We've bought a home one time before but this is a short sale.

The Lord has dealt me a wonderful measure of patience through this ordeal....I hope I can keep it.

Short Sales can, most of the time, save you $$$. They are however a major pain, as you have one more party in the mix to deal with. :(

Good luck y'all.
