The Pit and the Progress

It has been quite awhile since last I updated the progress on the Money Pit. I thought that showing a completed room would be in order. Except for refinishing the floors the living room is now virtually complete (at least until I get a new large screen TV). I have been working on other projects around the house and only last week hung the drapes in the living room. Here's the results step by step.

At the start-



dirty and damaged walls, a single dull and lifeless color.

Then after repairs -



walls cleaned, drywall repaired, and the application of some paint with color.

Details -



such as the baseboards and shadow box painted, the addition of a chair rail.

Finishing it off -



daytime mode,



nighttime mode.

If the rest of the house turns out as well, I shall be happy indeed.
