Does anyone know if there will be WiFi in the Greensboro arena?

no way. you need to be concentrating on God and stuff, so the wifi will not be available, cause the techno-gadgets draw you away from the Holy Spirit.

I asked that question of some in the know --HA!-- and was told that there will NOT be public WiFi available in the Greensboro venue. (There MIGHT be some form of for-purchase WiFi there, but it is not listed as an available service on their website.

How are we supposed to Twitter, upload photos and text each other? :D

For those staying at the Sheraton - WiFi is available at no charge in all sleeping rooms and public areas.

The Greensboro Coliseum does not provide complimentary internet.

Is there PAID wifi available in the Greensboro Coliseum? I was hoping to do a "LIVE FROM THE ASSEMBLY" FaceTime with my church.

I looked at the ATT 3G coverage map and it looks promising, at least, but often those signals are not so great inside massive steel/concrete buildings.

ALSO - seems to me I read/heard that there was a shopping mall essentially across the parking lot from the Coliseum, but I just looked at some aerial photo that doesn't seem to show one.

Yes, or no?

the mall is at the main hotel, it's the 4 seasons mall. The coliseum is by it self.

Guess I'll have to spend the majority of my time in the room or a near by restaurant so I can stay connected to the "outside" world!

WiFi is available for a charge at the arena. From your browser, just follow the instructions. The cost is $30.00 per day or $59.00 for multiple days.

Just use your iphone PG or pay 1 month 3G plan for your iPad if you have that version.. these prices are highway robbery.

Thanks Paul

I once worked for the company that provides wireless for the Honolulu Convention Center -- A great Assembly venue, by the way -- and know the pricing philosophy well: some people are far from home and NEED access at any cost, and the center has a single source supplier, so... supply and demand. (They also know that some business travelers are charging it to the company as travel expense, and will click OK, since they are not directly paying the bill out of pocket.)

I will buy one month of 3G on my iPad the day I leave for the mainland, and with my iPhone4 I should be fine most places.
