About a year ago I was having taillight problems on my 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Turns out that it's a common problem I'd say was a design flaw. I finally bit the bullet and replaced BOTH taillight assemblies, ordering from JC Whitney online.

Imagine my surprise when the box arrived, shipped from HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA. I know there are/were many contractors near Huntsville/Madison who made Chrysler/Jeep parts.

I could kick myself for not saving that shipping label because I later cracked the edge of the drivers side taillight (don't ask) and would like to replace it.

My problem: I GOOGLED and BINGed every way I could and can't discover the source company in the Huntsville area so I can try to buy direct and cut the cost.

Any of you brilliant web detectives able to help?

Gary, Take a look at the Huntsvilled Yellow pages.

under parts manufactors or warehouses.

Call one and see if they can give you the info.

or even the local jeep dealership or bodyshop

Don't know if this is the right place or if they'd direct sell, but try them:

Mitchell Plastics

Also, this is the list of members of the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association. http://resadmin.uah.edu/aama/membersbycounty.asp
Members are listed by county.

Good luck.
