Hey guys, I need to remove the throttle position sensor on my vehicle. The screws were coated with thread lock. I know I need heat. How hot do I need to get them? Anyone have any experience?

Thanks,

Tim

A pencil type soldering iron applied to the head of the screw for a minute or so should be sufficient. I think those are probably locked with green loctite and shouldn't be too difficult. Green is really designed to just break free with a little persuasion and may not even need heat. Blue is a little tougher and red is tougher still. I'd just give it a shot without heat first and see what happens.

My father has been a mechanic for 50 years and he would agree with macgulley!
