My wife made the trip from NC to India safely. three segments. 2 hours, 8 and 8 hours. she had a 4 hour layover in Germany and we chatted a few minutes via ooVoo video chat.
She arrived in Delhi about 1am Friday . She and Joyce are staying in the home of Pastor Daniel with the Good News Center. They made preparation for a Kids Crusade scheduled for Sat afternoon.
My wife has a story or two already. 1 involves theft and heavily armed security..

Have not heard the details yet.

On Saturday afternoon My wife and Joyce Cannon participated in a Kids Fest their in Delhi. The had planned on about 150 -200 but it was more like 300.
Its a 9.5 hour time difference. I think my wife is adjusting to jet lag. Video Chat is working fine. We even connected during church this am and allowed the kids over there to sing a couple of songs. good stuff.
I think tomorrow she will be traveling to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and a Womens Ministry service tomorrow nite.
That's great Billy!

Got to speak shortly with my wife today. She had gone off line for about 40 hours. She had travelled down to Agra which is south of Delhi. They had church there with a small group of people . One young man came forward answering a call into the ministry.
Pictures can be seen here.

Technology at its best or worst or its still funny.
When my wife started planning on going to India we made arrangements for her to take a laptop with her..
I installed Logmein on her computer. This gives me complete remote contol of computer remotely from here. no biggie.
I setup an ooVoo video chat account so we could video conference call back and forth
tonite She called via video chat . She was having problems downloading pictures from a digital camera. no problem while chatting with her I loaded LOGMEIN and remote controlled the computer. They had the camera plugged up but the camera was being recognized as a flash drive and not camera.
So I loaded My Computer and started copying the files from the camera to a folder on the local pc. Been awhile since she dumped pics 945 meg worth of pics and videos. so it took awhile.
I continued to monitor the next thing i know the video chat screen on there end went dark. It was 10 am and they had left the room to go eat breakfast. Left me. for real. Yeah go ahead leave the computer guy working.
All the pics got copied off and project was completed.
Now the rest of the story. I also installed a program on laptop called DropBox.. I copied the pics into a Dropbox folder and it starts sending the pics automatically up to internet and then it starts dropping them on my local computer so she has a copy here and I upload on Facebook...etc.. It will take a while for all the pics to sync up with my computer.
Here is the funniest part. When they turned the lights out it killed the outlet on the wall to the computer its now running on battery. so if they do not come back soon. It will shut off before all pics are synced..
Well I thought it was funny ...

A techie issue got resolved. My wife had taken some 3-5 min videos with her digital camera. they were about 300 meg in size MOV files. The Dropbox was having issues uploading them . that size of files was taking several hours to upload. Chatted with my wife about it and she informed me that the power fluctuated a lot going out often during the day and nite. I used the LOGMEIN remote control and looked at the laptop advanced power settings.
Aa haa. The setting was set to turn the hard drive off after 5 min on battery. I changed it to 30 min and was able to get the files downloaded. Way kewl. What I do not understand unless they have there router on a battery backup the internet would stay up while on battery.
Prayer Request. My wife and Joyce's driver and translator were in a car wreck. they are okay. but now they are having some Transportation issues and riding a elephant is not appealing

JK.
The next 3 nights they are doing Womens Ministry and Monday they are visiting a village that they do not think has heard about Jesus and Christianity.
