Will the Libertarian Party become the main opposition of the Democratic Party? Will the Libertarian Party become the main opposition of the Democratic Party...now that the GOP has not shown any serious constructive opposition and is definitely on its way into becoming a local/southern party.

Have you looked on an electoral map lately. The only local party is the Democrat party and it is local to New England, Illinois, Michigan, California and Oregon for the most part.
