My favorite Monday Night Football guy of all time. Great personality.

Funniest moment I've ever seen was on MNF in the 70's when Gifford,Cosell and Meredith were broadcasting. A streaker broke loose from the crowd and ran down the middle of the field totally disrupting the game. Play was stopped for several minutes before they could corral the exhibitionist. Gifford and Cosell were going on and on about how inappropriate it was and how something should be done to stop that sort of thing. They spent 15 minutes droning on and on about how uncouth and disruptive this naked man was until Meredith finally chimed in - "Well, maybe they didn't have a bathroom at his end of the field!" We'll miss you Dandy Don!

Odd coincidence ..... this is the 30th year anniversary of the death of John Lennon. I remember watching the Dolphins-Patriots game that night. I was standing in the kitchen making a bowl of Rice Krispies in our apartment and watching the game on the living room TV when Cosell announced that Lennon had been killed.
