We are officially

We are officially members of Cornerstone Church in Madison, TN and I suppose by default members of the AoG.

We have been attending Cstone for a year and are full fledged in love. We are attending discipleship 102 on Wed. nights, already finished 101, and will be ready for ministry after that should the Lord equip and call.

We have plugged into a Saturday School class, we attend sat. service at 5pm, and are having a blast. It's called Saturday Night alive and is so nontraditional that one may not even realize that they are in church except that we pray and use Scripture of course.

It's a very exciting time in our life as we soak up this ministry. We are fully out of the legal background that we came from and are excitedly witnessing to others. Wen invited her cousin & her family. They came, stayed, and joined as well. That's 7 folks. Carlos was saved the first service he was in. Their oldest daughter is going on the youth missions trip that our oldest daughter is going on, Panama City, Panama.

I then invited some old friends from High School and they have came and stayed. That included 2 families or 9 folks. The flesh and enemy are fighting one of the families hard though. Last night was a special service and I invited several folks. 6 showed up and they all said they loved it. I anticipate them being back. Let me be clear, it's not us, but it's the spirit of this church and the ministry available that keeps people coming. We average over 4,000 per service on the weekends and over 2,000 on Wednesdays.

Last night Pastor Davis celebrated 20 years as the pastor of Cornerstone. It was great. He has such a testimony, such a way with ministry, and just what we've needed. I always say they may bring the boogie man out of the closet next week but so far we are absolutely in love.

Pastor Davis got a call from a former associate pastor last week. That former pastor works for Kenneth Hagan now. They had so much snow on their roof that they were afraid it was going to cave in. They called to ask Pastor to have one of his friends in Texas to send some equipment up to melt the snow. Pastor asked to speak to Kenneth Hagan. He got on the phone and pastor said speak a word of faith to that snow, lol. Hagan said just get the equipment up here please. So Pastor Davis made some calls and got them straight. Our pastor speaks out heavily against TV preachers, TBN, and the offerings, etc. that they manipulate from sheeple.

If you are veer in the Nashville area please stop by and check us out.

I thought you guys were heavily involved with Ron's church? Anyway, hope you're happy and blessed where you are and that you have found a place where you can plug in and help advance the Kindgom!

ROTFL

You go to church where I used to live.

My dad pastored the CoGop there in Madison. That property used to be the CoGop state office/tabernacle. Wow! What's the chances? 8)

Lot of history there!

Glad you guys found a church to connect with...However, the next time I'm in Nashville I must visit Dr. Ron's church. I will pray that God will continue to use you and your family to bring others to Him!

I took my family there while in TN for the Assembly a few years back. Loved visiting his church. Afterwards, he gave us a full tour of the buildings. I completely enjoyed my time there.

Love Sarah DeLane..

TV preachers want your tithes but they won't visit you in the hospital. That alone should be enough to discount them.

Then there's the new light, the prophecies that aren't prophecies, the God told me to..... etc.

I know several pastors that do the same and they are not even on TV. False prophecies and stuff are not only common onTV but in many churches as well. just don't think you can single out any one segment and lay the fault at their feet . To much error to go around.

I won't dispute that Paul and he'll teach against the error in general all day long but the TV preachers have a larger audience. Surely you're not against them being corrected when they are wrong? Paul corrected Peter remember, not in secret, but for all Christians to see, know, and read thanks to the Bible.

Absolutely not. While I detest some of the antic and outright false teachings of some evangelist, I realize that there are many really god ministers on the television also.
I just wanted to point out the the problem in the church today cannot be directed to any one group as the fault.
The main problem is that we the people have allowed the voice of a few to think, interpret, and speak for the whole church.
When christians begin to know and understand the scriptures. When Pastors teach the word to their people and not just condemn others ( not that yur pastor does) then many false teachers willfade away.
