What Is The World's Most Dangerous Question?

After a couple of days of preoccupation with things important and things trivial, I caught myself aware that I was out of communion with the Lord. By that I mean not in a conscious prayerfulness and ongoing communication with and from Him. In other words, I dropped the ball.
On my way to lunch earlier is when it hit me. A question came to me and my answer was, "I don't know." My next thought was, "That's a dangerous answer to that question -- and that means it is the most dangerous question."
"What is God doing?" In the sense of "right now, where you are". And, I don't want to be in a position where I can't give a clear answer to that question, or if need be, where I cannot honestly say, "Lord, it is because you have not shown me". Under no circumstances do I want to say "I don't know" when maybe I should know but simply do not get it or have not paid attention.
God is gentle. We've all said here in one form or another that God does not "force" us into faith in Him. He does not force us into knowing Him.
Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being my priest." In v. 14, He says, "So the people without understanding are ruined." They lacked something, but had something else: stubbornness, sexual sin, idolatry, substance abuse (alcohol is mentioned specifically), shame.
How many men go down to these vices!!! Lord, help me, a big dummy, stop and listen and pay attention and take heed to myself on a day where I'm more or less tooling through on my own head of steam. Without you I can do nothing; with you, nothing is impossible. I don't want to get to a place where I'm lumped in with thoe who do such things as that. All it takes is one step in that direction before you've ran a mile into it without catching yourself. Thank you, Lord, for doing me a huge favor today with your correction.
