Honor to my wife

1 Peter 3:7 says, "Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."

In the past 4 months, my wife has become -- most seriously and surely duringour marriage -- my partner in prayer. And, let me say that another way -- my wife has lead me to become her partner in prayer. The first way I phrased that made it sound like I was already prevailing in prayer and she joined in. That's not so. The Lord has brought us together into this fellowship with Him that we have not had before now. Ever. Not like this.

I love my wife. I am crazy about my wife. In August, 1983 we first met when she was a freshman in high school and I was a junior where we were on our school newspaper together. She was 14, I was 16. We were fast friends. She is the best possible mate I could ever have been given. God's rich mercy has been mine to enjoy as her husband for the last 23 years.

She is a marvelous mother. Her ways with our daughter are beautiful, and I am in love with the character that is being formed in our little girl. What's more, I'm so exceptionally grateful for the prayers of everyone on this board who urged us to not give up on church. Your prayers did and continue to bear fruit in us. God is rich in mercy, longsuffering and especially kind.

We have a season before us that is unlike any other in its difficulty. We need your prayers. Moreover, in the face of what lies ahead, we need to rest in the fact that God is enough. God is enough. My wonderful wife is teaching me this truth in example as the days pass. I am so unspeakably thankful.
