I would ask that each one please be in prayer for the country of Nigeria. Yesterday a Christian was elected as president. This is a great move forward, but it came with a huge price. In Kano the muslims rioted the number of those killed has yet been released. One of our College lecturers was beaten by the mob. Our bible college director Rev. Uba Andrew's church along with many churches and homes of christians were burnt down. Also part of our bible college was burnt down also. Please hold our brothers and sisters in prayer

WOW ! 42 views, not even one we'll pray. I guess the old adage is correct.

"Its Africa, nobody will care."

Whoa. Not so, bro. Been praying for them all week. Your post made it personal, though, since you've got such a connection. I viewed it earlier by my Android, didn't post a response. I care more and more about what goes in Africa and the Far East.

Never assume no one is praying just because they don't say so, many of us don't like to post with just "I'm praying" because it just clutters up finding updates or more info when it's posted.

I generally don't unless there is a personal reason I want to make sure the person sees I saw it and am responding.

Here is the latest report. I talked to our director this morning and the violence is worsening. Our office is sending funds to CAN ( Christian Association of Nigeria) Kano. This is an organization comprising of most of the denominations and independent groups who are working together to aid the victims and those left homeless. If you are interested in aiding wou can go to our website and donate from there, through Network For Good. Just click on the donate button on top of the page. The director of CAN Bishop Bellos is a personal friend and a man of integrity. Several of the officers of CAN are graduates from our Bible College. http://www.worldmissionoutreach.org

KANO, Nigeria (AFP) – The Muslim opposition candidate in Nigeria's presidential polls rejected the results on Wednesday but urged calm after deadly post-election riots, amid a rush to help nearly 40,000 displaced.
Authorities say many were killed in the violence, which saw corpses burnt beyond recognition and bodies reportedly thrown into wells, but have refused to give a toll, saying it could spark reprisals and would be inaccurate.
There were reports of fresh clashes in the northern state of Kaduna overnight, with a community leader telling local radio "the killing was unbelievable and the destruction is colossal."
One government official, explaining authorities' reluctance to release an overall death toll from since the vote on Saturday, said, "I wouldn't like to use the term massacre... some places it was terrible."

I also got an update from VOM today mirroring the details of that article and other details, too. We really are praying, bro. The world is small now. We can't afford to neglect prayer and help for Christians in Africa and the East. We're going to need them, too.

Paul, the key word in your post was the word OUR. The lecturer, director, churches, homes, Bible college, brothers and sisters are all of OURS, and not just connected to WMOF.

"Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ."

I would ask that you remember Rev. Linus Obinni in your prayers. he is a lecturer at the World Outreach International bible college in Kano. He is being treated for internal bleesing cause by a severe beating from a mob of muslims during the recent riots in Noethern Nigeria.

He is a very dear friend and a right hand man for the work there.

Bro Paul, I like Pastor Bill seldom respond with "prayer here or any thing". but pray daily for all our bro and sis all over the world, esp. those in area of danger. My prayers are not limited to my church but to all that are covered by the blood.

When on facebook if there is a need made known, I hit "like" that means that I have prayed for that need. I assume that the prayer is more needed then a commit.
