I just wanted to give a praise for a joint Campmeeting between the COG and COGOP in Somerset, Ky this last Monday and Tuesday. The State Overseer, Keith Ivester and U.S.A. Mission Coordinator from their International Headquarters, Bro. Smith joined us on Monday night. They were very excited about the meeting. A soul was saved and several received the baptism in the Holy Ghost. Also, testimonies of healings came in. More than anything it was good for our two sister churches to come together for this time of refreshing. Out of this we hope to start a coalition of our area churches to help develop plans to help combat drug addiction in our area. Whatever happens, the foundation has been layed.

Sounds like a wonderful idea...

Hopefully both denominations will start combining forces and resources in reaching people for Christ.

I am a Church of God member and I am very happy to hear about Cogop and Church of God coming together. When I was saved I did go to Cogop. As long as we are striving for the same thing, seeing souls saved, I do believe we can come together. To me it not about denominations anyway. It is all about Jesus.
