It'd be a gross overstatement to call me the least of apostles on tech.

But, I fail to see why all the buzz on the TouchPad. I know someone's already got it figured out how to run Android 2.2 on one of them. So what? If I bought a Pontiac and GM decides now (and probably will?) to yank all support and warranty for them, I'm stuck if my onboard computer throws some kind of crazy code that causes the car to go ape-y. I'm better off driving a used Honda that I know I can still get a brand spanking new part if I need it.
That said, I saw an HP Touchpad on eBay for $250. Maybe I'm just a fogey, I don't know. I don't see the value, even if it is like one-third off the MSRP that it was at 2 weeks ago. Honestly, I'm not even sure it's worth the $99 some folks have bought them for.
