Jude2 Comeback

Friends, Romans, and Countrymen,

Facebook doesn't have to be the only place for social interaction. I'm not even on Facebook. Let's invite our friends and acquaintances back to Jude2. I think it can make a comeback.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I remember the good concerning the former days at Jude2.

Blessings,
pa

I'd love to see it. I don't really do Facebook but I Tweet. Still, not the same at all. Facebook is too cluttered. Lord knows I need more than 140 characters to say anything!

Facebook and Jude2

As sort of the grandfather of Jude2, I see this as a unique forum that still has some very tight community support. I am happy to see some renewed interest, an expect that will increase as we head toward the 2012 COGOP International Assembly.

Facebook is, of course, the 900 pound gorilla of social networks and I use it a lot as a relational network tool. For those NOT on Facebook, I guess I wonder why? It is now a ubiquitous network utility. If someone asks for your email address, and you say "I don't have email" they see you as a dinosaur. Facebook has become that pervasive now.

PG, I was about to agree with you when I noticed that you said "ubiquitous," not "obnoxious." I have a Facebook account, and find that I totally hate it. But that's just me.

Facebook? Been there, done that, and I actually don't deny it's a great place to reconnect with friends, relatives, or new acquaintances.

I may utilize Facebook again in the future, but would rather see someone create a social networking site that has the best interest of the community at heart. I became annoyed at seeing banner ads for things that I had Googled which let me know that my confidentiality could be more at risk than Facebook wants to admit. Facebook isn't as much about social networking as it was in the beginning. Facebook should be called Pocketbook, it's about financial networking for anyone who wants to buy into the Facebook empire of network marketing. In all fairness, it's not just Facebook. I've witnessed this happening on other sites as well.

Call me a dinosaur I suppose. :)

It's funny. All the drifting I've done, Jude 2 was happenin'. I go and get all pentecostal again, and Jude 2 takes a nap. I'm like the inverse of that guy in the AT&T 4G flash mob commercial.
