I just wanted to say in public what I say in private: I love these people!

My wife hosted a little open house/party for our Hawaii COGOP ministers/spouses last night, and we had a great time. Lots of laughter, smiles and sweet unity as we ate way too much delicious snack food and enjoyed some fun and camaraderie. The men beat the women at a gingerbread house building competition. :D

Our Deacon and his family blessed us/the parsonage with a gift of new Brazilian Cherry laminate flooring for the Living/Dining/Kitchen areas, which will be my start of the year project.

I know I am a man most richly blessed.

That's quite a blessing PG. Here's a tip that you may, or may not, have thought of. In order to protect that new floor from scratches buy some cheap carpet, the carpet that you can get at an auto supply store is great for this. Cut patches of the carpet and glue them to the bottoms of the legs of your furniture (carpet side down  ). That will allow you to slide the chairs in and out at the dinning table, etc., without damage to the laminate flooring.

Very smart idea, TW. You're a wealth of knowledge!
