I suppose it wouldn't offend him if I suggested he remove the queer from his own eye before he tries to get the humdrum out of most pastors' eyes.

Really sad to see the trivialization that has swept through areas of the church.

Some churches don't have the wisdom of God, nor the power of God to teach their people how to change the world, so they need to tell them how to change the knot in their tie or match their undershirt.

I think this is just the logical permutation of the ME-centric gospel that has possessed (And I use that word deliberately) the modern day American Christian church.

Messages about sex and fashion make sense when "It's all about me."

One local AOG has codified "Succe$$" in an Osteen-ish mantra, it being described as a product of faith.

That makes sense when "It's all about me!"

It's all about me all I have to do is say it!!!
It's all about me, All I have to do is DARE to pray it!
It's all about me, All I have to do is do x, then y (of some eisegetical "Biblical Principle") and God is FORCED by me to do what I want.


Yeah, You rarely hear about HIM any more, Unless it's how you can get what you want out of him.

It was more of a play on words about the TV show "Queer Eye" and Jesus' analogy of the beam and mote. But, yeah, I do get that vibe from him and just hope I am wrong.

As I watched the videos, I still wonder if it is a parody BY Young. I doubt it, but we will see.

Poor Ryan Seacrest is looking ragged isn't he? (Actually, looking at it again, he looks a little like John Davidson, too. Which makes me think they need to resurrect "That's Incredible!" and put Young on there, too. With, say, Kathie Gifford and....who could be Fran Tarkenton?..... Oh, yeah -- Charles Barkley!!!)
