In a few hours I will board a plane headed toward the island of Tarawa in the Republic of Kiribati where I will register with the government there our first COGOP church in the Republic of Kiribati. The trip is pretty round-about... HNL > Christmas Island > Nadi, Fiji. Overnight there and then on to Tarawa, and then reversing the process a few days later. I am leaving tired before the trip starts, so prayer covering appreciated. I am thrilled at what is ahead!

A wonderful report, for sure. And, also on the week they are searching nearby for Amelia Earhart clues. World of difference.....you are serving the living and the alive-to-be.

Yesterday, July 6, 2012 (local date) at about 2:30 PM I met with the Ministry of Internal and Social Affairs for the Republic of Kiribati and signed the initial papers for registration of COGOP in this nation. There's a review period ahead before I get their acknowledgement of acceptance letter, but have a green light to proceed. Sunday I meet with the church for the first official service, formally set the church in order, receive members and appoint the pastor and leaders.

That is so cool!
Why did they want to become part of our church or how did they hear of us?
