Interest in the upcoming summer olympics

Postby Paully_44 » August 3rd, 2004, 8:19 am

With the summer Olympic games set to start very soon, I was wondering what those here feel about them. Anybody going to watch or could you care less?

Personally, I love the olympic games and all the fanfare. I'll be watching as much as I can.

My only irritation is I will have to keep up with multiple channels to figure out what is being covered where  I have trouble remembering how to get home most days.

And hopefully, NBC won't do the Red, White, and Blue pay per views again

Thankfully, we live in an area where we get Canadian programming. The Candian channel offers a more complete view, less commercials and more programming time dedicated to the games.

Same here. I watch a lot of the Olympics on Spanish-language TV.

This is the only way I know it's THAT time again...

Commercials like:

"Presenting the new, improved softer and more absorbent Charmin bath tissue... IF it's good enough for our athletes in the Olympics this year... shouldn't it be good enough for you and your family???"

Yeah, think soccer riots are bad? Let's see what happens after fans' pent up testerone is released after watching their national teams in mock warfare.
