Update on TW (that's me)

Most of you already know that over the last year or so my health has gone downhill. Actually more like fallen off of a cliff. I am back at home now, and after my followup appointment with my Primary Care Doctor, they have placed me on hospice. I'll be honest about it. After I was given the prognosis that I would probably die within six months I was depressed for a few hours. Then I thought about it, and the key word was "probably." I have become determined that I will not just let this be a death sentence for me. I will use the extra resource available through hospice to regain some strength and endurance. I know that I will never be back where I was, but I can be a lot better than I am now.

My thanks to all that have prayed for me.

Good to see you smiling. Knew you were sick. Didn't know that they had said that.

So they said six months? How long ago was that?

I've prayed for you to be able to post more pictures of the work you were doing on your house. That's been my goal in prayer -- that you'd be able to do that work. It still is. Like Scooter, I didn't know they'd said that. I'm glad physicians don't have the last word and that you and I both serve the One who does.

My father was told he had about 6 months to live in March of 2011, today he is still going and cancer free. He's slowed down more than he'd like (but then he is about to turn 79) but he's still going.

Doctors can guess and will do all they can, but we know it's in God's hands. Praying for you healing brother, but knowing that no matter what your Father is blessing you and knows how to do it best.

As I have heard it said, there is no expiration date stamped on the bottom of your foot, at least that man can see.

scooter,
They told me on the 17th of this month, and by the next day the hospice people were out too my house getting everything set up (paperwork and all that stuff). So far, and it's been a little over a week now, they have had somebody come by everyday (with the exceptions of Sunday) to check on me and do anything that needed to be done. I really feel that with the extra help from hospice I can push the "use by" date a lot farther back than six months.

I believe that also TW. I have seen many people have Hospice and later be released. I stand in agreement with you.

Maybe the doctors don't know you like we do. Maybe they don't know God like we do. You and He, both, have way too much spunk for this kind of report. Praying and trusting with you!
