1 down - 5 to go . . . NOT!

As of today I have been on Hospice for one month. Which means, according to the doctors, that I only have five months or less to live. I am going to prove them wrong.
The people with the Hospice company are wonderful. They all understand my long term goals, and are doing everything they can to help me reach them. My Nurse/Case Manager has ensured that someone is checking on me every day, except weekends. There is someone on call 24/7 if I have a problem. What I have to do is, make sure I take my meds as prescribed, do my physical therapy every day, and keep my activity at a appropriate level. Here’s a look at the meds that I have to take.
I’m stronger now, and feel better than I have in months. I feel that the Doctors, Nurses, and CNAs will do their part. I will do my part (and with my personality “that ain’t easy”). I know that I can rely on God to carry me through this.
Y’all have been a second family for me for the last eight years, and I want to thank you for that. I know that with your prayers and God’s strength to carry me, I will have victory over this.

TW, you are a fine (and amazing) man, and I suspect you will prove them wrong and THEN some.

Count-ups, not countdowns, my man. I love it. The verse in my heart right now is Isaiah 40:31, "Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary."

Lifting you up here brother, they gave my Dad 6 months in March of 2011, he's in better shape now than he was then, still can't do all he once could, but he is 79 so it's understandable that he had to slow down!

Your post is such a blessing to me. There are times when people lose faith in how wonderful God is and will always be. You gave inspiration to me with the peace that you have in trusting and believing God. May you travel quickly on the road to your complete healing.

One of my Nashville Assembly highlights is sitting down at a Jude2 over BBQ and getting to talk a bit with you. Prove them wrong.

Mine too! The TW I met is too ornery to let them be right!

You not only prove them wrong, but be a witness to them. Love and prayers are with you buddy!

TW this is a post from my first cousin about my Uncle. A year ago they sent him home to die, well I think the post says it all. He said he wasn't going anywhere until the Lord was ready. Don't look like the Lord was ready.

Update: dad is being released from hospice care. We received the notice from his nurse this morning October 24, 2012. One year ago, the doctor released him under hospice care and gave him weeks to live. Now we are having to purchase him a new way of transportation so he can hit the road. He is looking forward to a fishing trip. Thank you to everyone for your continuous prayers and encouragement. You Go Pop!
BTW Gary L. this is Ronnie B. from H'ville daddy.
