What a wonderful Turkey weekend of football. So going into the final weekend here's my Top Ten.
1. Florida - Defending NC, no one has knocked them off YET but I think that happens this Saturday in the SEC Championship game.
2. Alabama - Got through their Iron Bowl game, and now it's on to the SEC Championship game. I think they are better defensively than FL, and I think they will play for the NC.
3. Texas - Didn't look real sharp against A&M, but did what they had to do, know it's on to the Big 12 Championship game against Nebraska. Then on to the NC.
4. Cincinnati - The more I watch this team the more I am so impressed with Coach Kelly and Tony Pike, I think they could score on anybody, not sure they can stop anybody, but if Texas loses, they could be in the NC game.
5. TCU - The Best of the Non-BCS teams. Would love to see them play Cincy.
6. Ohio State - getting ready for the Rose Bowl
7. Iowa - They will probably end up in a BCS bowl against TCU
8. Penn St. - Waiting on their bowl game as well. I wish the Big Ten would play beyond the weekend before Thanksgiving.
9 (TIE) Boise and Oregon. I'm still not impressed with Boise. Sorry.
On a side note, if you get a chance to go and see "The Blind Side" you need to go see that movie. It was great!!!

My Top Ten

I HOPE Bama wins Saturday. The line as I sit is Florida by 5 1/2. The way Alabama played on Friday was not helpful. They did what was necessary, but getting so beaten by trickery and then the blown coverage in the 3rd quarter was just inexcusable and ugly. Auburn is not that good. I hate all that Harlem Globetrotter kind of football that Gus Malzahn does. In the end, though, it is about blocking and tackling and Alabama didn't do enough of either, spotted Auburn 14 points and won anyway. They won't be able to do that with Florida.
My consolation is that this year's Florida team is not as good on offense as last year's. I think that is the reason for a 5 point line and not a 9 or 10 point line. Our offense will have to play better than they have all year to win. I can see this game being a 22-16, 21-17, 18-15 kind of game, or even lower. (Of course, as soon as you say that, the final turns out to be 45-41!!

Now I'm not trying to be judgmental but I just don't think it is right for you professing believers to be smoking a controlled substance. Penn State above Boise? Penn State? Third in the WEAK Big Ten? Not a chance. Not only does their record say they should be ahead of Penn State but they are simply better - much better! Iowa? Iowa? They couldn't begin to keep up with Boise. Oregon? Oregon? I've made that argument before but you have a made up mind and nothing will stop you. (By the way, I'm not sure Oregon won't have 3 losses after this weekend.)
