Not a baseball fan

I did like to play as a kid but never enjoyed watching. BUT I have to say I have done my best to watch MY CARDS play in the CWS.

The Cards (47-23) improved to 5-0 in elimination games in this year's NCAA Tournament with another impressive offensive performance, including four home runs and 18 total hits, and a strong outing on the mound from freshman Justin Marks. U of L led 8-0 after four innings and after the Bulldogs closed to within 8-3 in the sixth, the Cards added three more in the seventh to close the door on any comeback attempts by the SEC foe.

Louisville became just the fifth school to score double figures in each of its first two MCWS games (accomplished seven times), joining Tennessee (2001), LSU (1998 and 2000) and USC (1998) and Arizona State (1965). Rice became the sixth school to accomplish the feat in Sunday night's 14-4 win over North Carolina, sending the Tar Heels to Tuesday's elimination game with the Cards.

COME ON... the Cards are the UNDERDOGS... no one expected them to even get here, no one has given them a chance. All during the game with Miss all they kept saying was how good Miss was and that they could come back easy, in the third, one of the guys calling the game said there was a 100% chance that Miss would score that at bat, then he said well 99.9%... (they did not score and they never mentioned it again)

They do have an up hill battle, they have to beat UNC and then Rice twice in back to back games. BUT they did that once before in the super reg.

I was given a special UofL Louisville slugger bat yesterday with the CWS on it. a great gift to put in my collection.

I was born in Houston. Live in the Houston area, Rice is about 30 mins. from my house. I am rooting for the Owls.

With the OSU Beavers putting a beating on UC Irving, they have earned a shot at playing the winner of Rice vs N.C for the national championship.

I have really enjoyed watching the playoff's this year.

Of course I am pulling for the Pac-10

OSU will be hard to beat. I am pulling for Rice. They are a small school and you have to be extra smart to go there. Go Owls

If OSU wasnt playing in the tourney, I would have been pulling for a Rice vs UC Irving world series. I like Rice baseball. Small school and a constant powerhouse. UC Irving not having a baseball team until a couple years ago, and here they are. great story that would have been.

well my boys are gone....so I guess I really don't care now.

Louisville had a good team and this was thier first trip ever, they have been power hitters all year. I did not get to see the game just the last out. But from what I seen on the news, a freshman made an error and that gave UNC their runs. Also it was a stiff wind and several long balls were not going out (for either team)

OH WELL... I am a baseball fan just love seeing the Cards do something they have never done. It will be really cool next year because Valley sports won the Little league world series a few years back and they had several really good players, almost all of them have signed to play with Louisville next year, so they have a shot at the LLWS and then the CWS...

BRING ON SEPT 1.... ITS FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE... (and Louisville Too)

the trailed once in over 40 innings, and that was for less than 5 minutes. They cranked off what, 10 wins after losing early? Pretty much dominated the CWS. Not bad for a team that finished under .500 in conference play and nearly didnt make the playoffs.
