Here we are, July and the baseball world is on its All-Star break.
How are your teams/players doing?
My Mariners are having a suprising season. Predicted to finish dead last in the conference they are actually in contention. At 49-36 they are only 2.5 out of leading their division.
At the same time, the NYY are a whopping 10 games back and most likely out if for their division and in all likelyhood praying for some sort of miracle that would get them in the wild-card race which they are looking at from the outside at this point.

Great game it was! the AL won and Ichiro walked away with the MVP going 3-3 with an inside the park HR. Rumor has it here, that the M's are close to signing him to a 5 yr deal.

No, bad mouthing my Yanks!!! But I will have to agree they are having a pretty sad year.... Even if we do make it as a wildcard...I don't think they are strong enough to contend in any of the other games... Yes, I am heartbroken....

As much as I cant stand 'em, they never give up.
This past weekend they piled up 62 hits, 49 runs & 11 HR's..... all in 4 games.

Yep! We are movin' on up.... If I am not mistaken (and I could very well be) we are only 5 games out now..... ??? But I still hold to my last statement.."I don't think they are strong enough to contend in any of the other games... " I just don't think they are strong enough this year to pull it out.... I hope I am very wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT ABOUT THOSE YANKEES NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What about those Yankees now!!!!! Don't ever count them out.... As Yogi would say..."It ain't over 'till it's over"..... I am still not sure they have what it takes to make it all the way but with bats as hot as they have been...who knows.....

I know, I know. Them Yankees are never out until the final game. I can only hope that they get the most comfortable seats for the playoffs..... their couch's or easy chairs.

Go Marineers!!! What a game the other night when they played the last one in the series with L.A. and won in the 12th. Go guys. You're doing great and there are a lot of people here in the Northwest rooting for you.
