Five of them were in the top 10

Typical East Coast/Southern hillbilly crap.

Hawaii wasn't upset. Strong win, but a weak performance by Colt Brennan coming off an ankle injury.

Yeah that was a really nice win against Apollo College. Which is better, to be 5-0 and have not played anyone of real value, or to be 4-1 and have lost to the #3 team in the nation.

Here's my thoughts:

First USC was not impressive or Washington is better than I thought they were.

Second - LSU was not impressive in the first half but came on to win, not impressively though. Probably looking forward to eating some Gators next weekend.

Third - what a weekend of upsets!! Oklahoma loses to Colorado which is not a good team. Florida loses to Auburn team that was defeated at home by USF. WVU lost to USF (And yes my heart is broke, thank God the season is not over yet). Texas loses to KSU, Rutgers loses to Maryland, Clemson to Georgia Tech.

Just seen the new polls and I need you all to explain something to me like I'm a 3rd grader. How can Florida, Oklahoma lose to unranked teams and still be rated higher than WVU who lost to the 18th rank team on the road?

New poll as LSU ranked #1 and USC #2. Long way to go folks, wait till next weekend.

You are right. USC is nothing more than an overated team that plays in a weak conference, ( ) behind the SEC, Big-10, Big East, Indies, WAC and anyother conference......that is why they 7 of their defense players are ranked in the top 50 college players. UW is good, but in a rebuilding year (again) USC is banged up and playing with many subs. but then, how many outside of the PAC-10 cares or even care that they are defending Natl Champs 2 years running now and possibly will make it a third.

Paully, what is your problem? I said nothing about USC being overrated. Said nothing about the PAC-10 or any other conference in my post.

Who ranked those players on Defense? Everyone is an All-American on paper.

So USC is banged up, could be why in my opinion they played so unimpressive to be the then #1 team in the nation.

FYI, Paully, I'm a college football fan, I am a fan of the game, not necessarily a conference. I love to watch a good game, regardless of who is playing. I have stated on here the only two teams I really dislike is ND and UL, otherwise I watch, don't root for a team unless it's WVU or UK.

Paully since the beginning of the BCS USC has only 1, NC. I'm sure you are probably counting the one the AP gave to USC and BCS was LSU. But as a true football fan, how can you recognize the AP? That's why the BCS was started to keep from having split NC.

Well, it was definitly upset weekend. The only one I wish would have gone a head and lost was USC. The others were ok. I'm not hating on the Pac-10 or nothing. I'm just not a USC fan. I know they're good, but I don't see them as the BEST... I guess we'll find out in the end.

I have enjoyed watching South Florida, but I'll have to agree with Herbstreit (ESPN dude). I don't think they're the best team in Florida.

LSU is going to win the SEC.. I just don't see them losing but stranger things have happened huh Tommy T.. I guess he'll trade that lose to State for a win over Florida.
