As a WVU fan, I really don't care. Let him go, I can't stand having to go through this every year.
Beside we have a fairly good coach waiting in the wings if he leaves.

Well Rich Rod is gone to Michigan. So Dalebert I'll be an OSU fan once a year when OSU beats Michigan. After you do that about 3 times Rich Rod will look good on the Tulane sideline.
As for WVU new coach I look for them to hire Terry Bowden. Terry spent his teenage years in Morgantown, and his wife is from there and would love to go home.
Time will tell. We have great facilities now, thanks to Rich Rod, but at least we will not have to worry about him looking for a new job every year now.
Besides that, he will never be able to come back home again. Not a smart move on his part.

Terry Bowden? You poor, poor fan. I feel for you. I like WVU well enough to hope they don't hire that guy. And, WVU plays Auburn next year, so what irony that would be.
Did you hear about his problem with itching up in his high thighs? He went to the doctor about it. Doc said, "Do you have a knife with you?" "Yeah!" he said. "Lemme see it, Coach," said the doctor. Cut, slice, saw, cut.... thirty seconds later, the doctor said, "Okay, that'll do it. You're healed."
"What did you do?" asked Coach Terry B.
"Oh, I just cut the tops off your boots."
I'm confused

OK... What is the stigma with Terry Bowden. Based completely on His record in Auburn, He surely would have gotten a job by now. My memory is pretty bad, but was there some off the field issues that I am forgetting. I seem to remember that there were some, but I can't remember for sure if and certainly I don't remember what. Help me out here.
What a trip, if RR brings the spread to Mich. The Big 11 is about to have to wake up!

Dolfan,
From what I have been told Terry's problem at Auburn was with the Alum's, the same one's that have given Tubberville fits and Tubberville turn the tables and blew the whistle on them.
Terry has been out a long time, however his wife is from Morgantown and has had a desire to return home. You know this is WV and I'm not sure how many coaches are going to want to through their name in the hat for that job.
The thing that hurts the most is this. WV is a small state with not a lot of resources to work with. But last year, the state mortgaged it's future to keep their favorite son Rich Rod, and this is the thanks we get. Not only that but he called the #1 QB recruit in the country a kid out of PA and told him he was going to Michigan before he told his own players, staff or admin. at WVU.
I'm more mad than I am hurt to be honest, and I promise one time a year I will be the biggest OSU fan there is. Dalebert one time a year dude, you will have to take a back seat to me, because I will be screaming for the Buckeyes to beat the school up north. After you do that about 3-4 times in a row, it will be so nice to see those same Michigan folks welcoming Rich Rod, firing him.
The bigger picture is this, what is wrong with adults signing contracts that really mean nothing to only move on in a year in this case to what they think is bigger and better. He was building a National Contender at WVU and now that seems to have gone down the tubes.

Pastor Rob, I'm with you man. I want WVU to succeed, that's why I'm hoping the rumor mill about Jimbo has got some fire behind the smoke. Footballrumormill says JF has an out in his deal with FSU that lets him go without a buyout if he takes the WVU job. True? Your guess is as good as mine.
Bowden is a joke. His first 20 games at Auburn were unbeaten, true enough. After Bama gave him his first beatdown in 1994, he went down the drain and (like M Dubose) decided to find his successes in someone else's arms, and he resigned midseason in 1998. His successes on the field were with Pat Dye's players, and as soon as those guys were gone, so were his wins. He is not his daddy and he ain't his brother.
As for Rich Rod's coattails with WVU commits and recruits following him to Michigan, that's cheap. He worked those guys on WVU money and time. Now, UM gets the windfall. There needs to be some drastic reformation on the recruiting process and the ability of coaches to, in wholesale fashion, move so much and wreck what they leave behind.

Dolfan,
I'm not sure about Bowden either. I mean the guy has been out for 10 years if he was that good of a coach, why has not someone picked him up before now.
As for Jimbo, another WV guy he like Rich Rod when he came had no head coaching experience and it worked pretty good for Rich, however the guy I'm sorta leaning towards is Doc Holliday. He is the OC at Florida. He is familiar with WVU he served on Nehlen's staff and has done a good job running the spread with Florida. Plus he has a pipeline to the recruiting process in FL. However, I would be happy with either one of those guys.
Dalebert, I will be wearing my Buckeye sweatshirt and dotting the I once a year. And can't wait for the day till they start screaming in Ann Arbor "Ditch Rich!"
I also think one Saturday a year, probably in September I will turn Catholic when ND plays Michigan. Man you guys need to pray for me about this.
