Jim Zorn new Redskins HC

You probably heard it already, but I just did tonite (Sat., about 10:35 PM CT). I LOVED Zorn when he was QB for Seattle. When I was a kid/teen, it was fun to see another lefty like me throw the ball like he did. Seattle was my favorite underdog team then. I saw Zorn get sacked 10 times in one game by the Cowboys back in like 1980 or so. It was a massacre, but he was tough. How will he do as coach of the Skins? I dunno. But, it is still good to see one of my old faves get the chance, and I hope he does well.

And he has been the QB coach here for the past few years also. He has a great reputation with the players.

I was a little surprised by this. The Redskins had signed him as the offensive head coach, then had a hard time getting a head coach. Not many coaches would have came into a situation where their offensive and defensive coordinators were already chosen. It will be interesting to see how he does. Unfortunately, if he does not do well quickly (1 or 2 years), he will be gone.

I honestly think Daniel Snyder wanted to sign Jim Fassel, but Redskin's Park would have been burnt to the ground if this would have happened.
