Brennan has to overcome poor reviews at combine

Postby turbotim » February 21st, 2008, 9:40 am

Here is the story on Foxsports

his draft stock is sinking like a rock in water

A player who had visions of being the next Tommy Brady could end up being the next Timmy Chang. You also hear the names Andre Ware, David Klingler and Ty Detmer, a veritable who's who of who you don't want to be associated with. These are college gunslingers that put up gaudy stats on Saturdays, only to never make an impact on Sundays.

Brennan's performance against Georgia was a total train wreck. And NFL folks were blown away by just how poorly Brennan performed at the Senior Bowl.

Another general manager explained, "I think Brennan's production is a function of his system (like a lot of Texas Tech QBs for example) and his body isn't built to last in the NFL."

I hated Hawaii had to play Georgie. It would have been much better had they played Illinois. I didn't get to watch Colt play much at all. The only game I really got to see was the Sugar Bowl. Which probably wasn't a good one to watch him on....

Well, maybe he is a system QB after all. That's unfortunate for him. At least he won't be hammered to death like Brodie Croyle, who made it to the NFL in spite of the system in which he played, only to discover that his golden arm is no match for his lead feet and frantic spine in the pocket. But, on the other hand, Brodie's getting paid handsomely for it.

I didn't, , but then I am UGA fan. However I agree Hawaii should have played the ILLNI and Ga should have played USC

Brennan had not faced a solid, fast and good defense all year.
