I was just shocked at how the first half unfolded. I'm very, very happy about the progress we've made. Georgia is a fantastic team and I thought we'd be competitive, but I didn't think we'd beat them and I sure didn't think we'd score 40 points. We're better than I thought we were.

BUT .... as we know, every week in the SEC is anybody-can-win-week. The second half of this game revealed that old problem we've had of not being able to finish well. We pulled out of that tendency, seized it I guess you could say, but not before yielding too much of the momentum to Georgia. Kentucky is next and we have to treat them as national champs, and our guys have to prepare themselves as people needing preparation.

One of my favorite parts was the joint prayer at the end. That's always a good sight. I wish more of our guys had participated. Georgia's players played tough, physically and after it was over, they were congratulatory. That's class.

I do wonder, though, if they'll do a blackout again this season. I'll be for you guys the rest of the season --- especially against Auburn --- that is unless we happen to get lucky and make the SEC Championship game against you.

Very entertaining game to watch, but I just have three questions:

1. What is a Housing major?
2. What do you study in a Housing major?
3. What do you do for a living if you graduate with a Housing degree?

Several of the Uga dudes are majoring in Housing. Also saw Pre-Business. What is that, like Pre-school for a real business degree? Just curious.

That's so funny. My brother and I had the same discussion last night during the game. One of those majors made for college athletes.

I found the following listed as the description on one college site.

This course is aimed at housing practitioners and others who are seeking to develop a career in the housing and regeneration sectors. The programme focuses on policy and practice, mainly in the social housing field. Emphasis is also given to the development of academic skills and professional competencies to enable students to make a full and effective contribution across a range of roles.

Pre-business is probably a made-up name for an undeclared major for a guy who's taking some courses required to get a business degree. It looks better than "undeclared". My guess.

BTW, that's not just Georgia -- I figure all the schools with TV games will do this. No disrespect intended for UGA.

I found out on another board that "prebusiness" means they haven't gotten into the business school yet. Apparently you apply for this after your sophomore year at Uga. So, this guy wants to be a business major but hasn't gotten into the business school yet.

As for the housing description above....LAME! I guess Basket Weaving School was full.

Maybe instead of listing the players' major they should just list their 40 time or their high school recruiting ranking...or maybe how much under the table alumni money it took to get them to that particular school.
