I guess you all saw/read that Charlie Weis will be back at ND next year. He doesn't really have much to worry about next year though. Look at the schedule.
2009 Notre Dame Football Schedule
Sept. 5 NEVADA
Sept. 12 at Michigan
Sept. 19 MICHIGAN STATE
Sept. 26 at Purdue
Oct. 3 WASHINGTON
Oct. 10 Open Date
Oct. 17 USC
Oct. 24 BOSTON COLLEGE
Oct. 31 vs. Washington State (at San Antonio, Texas)
Nov. 7 NAVY
Nov. 14 at Pittsburgh
Nov. 21 CONNECTICUT
Nov. 28 at Stanford
The only losses I can see from that list are USC, and maybe MSU, BC, and Pitt. That leaves them possibly being about 8-4, which will allow Weis to keep his job for another year.
What's up with that vs Washington State at San Antonio, Texas?

I caught that Washington State thing too. I was wondering if I should take advantage of the opportunity to see Notre Dame play.

Do you know why they are playing there? Does it have something to do with the Catholics there? It just seems far away for both schools.

Today was actually the first time I heard of it, so I really have no idea. There could be a Catholic connection. SA is a big Catholic city.

2 of my most despised teams in sports.
WSU vs NL guess this is just the first in a series of "off site home games" for the irish over the next few years.
Weis has managed good recruiting classes the last few years, but nothing to show for it. I am glad he is staying at N.L to keep up their losing ways.

Thanks for pasting that Paully...

I'm glad Weiss is staying and I am glad they only have a mediocre schedule next year. As long as Weiss is there, ND will continue to be a mediocre team and I would like nothing more than for ND to become irrelevent. I'm tired of them and their TV contract. I'm tired of them being over hyped to start every season.
I hope Navy beats them next year - they almost pulled it off this season. I hope they lose to Mich, MSU, BC, Stanford...would be nice for them to miss a bowl again.
Needless to say, I don't care for Notre Dumb.

Oh, I see more losses than that: Michigan beats 'em, I say, and does MSU, BC, Pitt, UConn (ranked in the top 25 earlier in the season this year), Washington, USC and Purdue. Up to 8 losses, I think.

My flag football team scheduled games against these teams...we're looking forward to the huge victories.
