Mark Gottfried is now Mark Gott-fired. Resigned today. Not a minute too soon for the Bama basketball program. We had a really good program -- not Kentucky or anything, of course, but really decent and producing a lot of NBA players -- before Gottfried. When CM Newton and Wimp Sanderson coached here, Bama was a good basketball program. We're not even average now. Underachieving to say the least.

Hopefully, this gives us an opportunity to hire a Calipari or Tubby Smith. Hopefully.

tubby is having somewhat of a success in B10 country.....but im sure if Bama called he would leave just for the fact to be in SEC country again...just mho

Oh so this is not an O bama thread.

I sure thought it was.

My first thoughts was that a Basketball coach of Pres. O-bama
had resigned so he could become a member of Pres 0-bama staff..

In some capacity ......

LOL

He put his hopes on Steele, who stayed hurt all the time.

Didnt recruit much of PG after steele

But now he has some really good seasons
