we had a superbowl party at church last night and it was great - fun, fellowship and some even watched the game on the projection.

seemed like the gold-panted, colored diamond guys were winning most of the time, but the birdies came back at some point, wasn't paying attention much, I was trying to make sure the nacho dip didn't scorch.

at the end, seemed like there was lots of little hankies thrown around, i understand the refs threw them around quite a bit during the whole game. so the little birdies almost won. one of the gold-panted, colored diamond fans yelled something about checking to be sure the players knee was behind the goal line when the birdies made a touchdown. - everyone laughed, but I didn't get it.

hotwings, lots of nacho dips, several kinds of little smokies, lots of cookies, and deserts to eat. we also provided some Starbucks (decaf) for the coffee drinkers.

it was great fun, though don't know much about the sport to say if the game was fun or not.

I don't "do sports". the birdies team had little red birds on their helmets, adn the gold-panted colord diamonds is also descriptive - I think they are the steelers? does that help?

I wish we could've had ours at the church...those church folks trashed our house! :shocked: J/K

We had a great time... but there were seriously a lot of people left out because of size limitations...I think it would be awesome to include all the singles, older people, families, everyone in the church...

Next year, I am going to make sure to send the new information to my pastor and hopefully someone will take it up!
