RIP Steve "Air" McNair

News is going crazy here in Nashville. Former TN Titans QB was shot dead today. They have found his body and that of an unidentified woman. Sad news. Don't know what the situation will turn out to be, but I believe he will always be reminded as being a man that had an incredible positive impact on Nashville and it's youth.

In an era of multi-million dollar "crybabies"("I have a hangnail, I can't play today!") McNair was a hoss. In one 5 week stretch during one season he didn't practice any due to various injuries yet he started every Sunday and won ALL five games. He could've have played in any decade and been a winner.(By the way I'm not a Titan fan by trade ). GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

Good QB. Bad decision to hook up with this gal. She was a nut. My uncle's adage -- Never live in the same house with a woman AND a gun -- holding to be good advice. Always liked watching him play.

Weird connection between the killer and Decatur, AL. Article in yesterday's local paper, and apparently the police are using these facts to help put together what they now call a murder-suicide.

But, this local lady and her 2 daughters went to Nashville on a shopping trip a couple of weeks ago. They went to Dave and Barry's or whatever restaurant the girlfriend/killer waited tables at. Lady said she'd never been there before, and that this young pretty girl comes up and waits on them. It's McNair's girlfriend, but this lady doesn't know it. In fact, she said she'd never heard of Steve McNair before that day. Turns out the waitress apparently just blurted out all this personal stuff to her, asking the lady if she'd ever been in love, saying she was in love with Steve McNair and was dating him, and that she was scared because she didn't think that he loved her like she loved him and all this stuff. The woman's two young teenage daughters thought the waitress was very pretty (personally, I don't see it, but...) and had their picture made with her.

The woman said that was the first time she'd ever heard of any Steve McNair, and that the next time she heard of him was when she saw his picture and the waitress's on the news saying McNair was dead. The girl used the name Jenny as a waitress. The photo they ran in the local paper yesterday had her name tag on it.

Sad, strange tale of a mixed up young gal with some issues, and an older guy who was "messin' where you shouldn't a-been messin'."
