World Series

Postby Paully_44 » October 27th, 2010, 11:02 am

Ok, I know that not many on here are actually baseball fans (besides my mom & I), but I have to at least give props to the Orange and Black of the City by the Bay. S.F Giants have been my favorite team since I was a little boy and my grandpa would bring me souveniers from Candlestick park in the 70's, even before Seattle had the Mariners. I root for them every year and most years they are done when the seaon ends. But not this year. I have loved watching the divisional play-offs and every game of the LCS for each league. I am happy the yankee's are home this week, but even more thrilled that the Giants are back in the Series.

I love this time of year, baseball under the cool Fall night skies.

Go Giants!

I think the Giants win this thing hands down. I could be wrong, but they're very hot and very hungry. Having said that, I didn't even know they'd played a game until this morning. That's kinda pathetic, isn't it?

Not that I'm not a baseball fan, but the season is like NASCAR it is TO LONG. Baseball should not be played in November! Cut it back to 148 games then play the Division series a 7 game, like the LCS and World Series, and quit having so much down time between the divisonal, league championship, and world series. Do like the umpire says at the beginning of a game, play ball!

Glad the Yankees are at home, don't really care who wins, it's been years since my Pirates were there, but I do like Josh Hamliton. Hope he does well, after all he has went through.
If I were to read, much less answer, all the attacks made on me, this shop might as well be closed for business. I do the very best I know how, the very best I can, and I mean to keep doing so until the end. If the end brings me out right, what is said against me won't amount to anything. If the end brings me out wrong, ten angels swearing I was right will make no difference." -Abraham Lincoln
